Self taught film, TV and interactive media composer Paul Houseman was born on August 26th 1985 and spent his childhood living in Helsinki, Finland. As a child Paul was fascinated by storytelling and stories, and channeled his creativity into making amateur movies, as well as drawing and writing his own comic books. Like every kid, Paul wanted to become a famous film director, an actor and a science fiction writer, not showing much interest in music at all. At the age of 12, however, Paul got his first music sequencer and took his first steps into the world of music. His biggest inspiration was the video game music of Japanese composer Nobuo Uematsu, whose influences are still heard in Paul's work today.

Paul's obsession with gaming music eventually lead to exploring new genres, and he soon discovered the work of many prolific composers such as John Williams, Hans Zimmer, Jerry Goldsmith and Danny Elfman. The inspiration he got from the music of these composers defined the entire course of his future, and finally in 2002 Paul started offering his services to the film, TV and gaming industries with gradually improving success.

Soon after getting his foot in the door, Paul started working with a number of colleagues in an effort to create customized orchestral sample libraries which are created to realizing the musical ideas of a composer with improved accuracy and power. Combining this powerful sound library together with numerous commercial sample libraries has given Paul his own "signature" sound in sampled orchestral music.

Paul's clients and collaborators today include top-notch game and film production companies such as Allegiance Films, Erwin Films, McDonald' s and many others, and the range of projects he's done is wide, including epic adventure, black humor, satire, action, horror, comedy and drama. Paul's strenghts are his acclaimed sense of dramatugy, pace, musical storytelling, collaboration abilities and high production quality.

To date, Paul has written original music for numerous films and other media and his work has been heard by countless amounts of people worldwide, including many top industry professionals.
